We started with a simple mission – to make sustainability easy. Today, we leverage our expertise to help companies solve their sustainability challenges, whilst also saving them time and money.

Giki’s story

In 2016 Co-Founders James and Jo Hand noticed how many people and companies were finding sustainability inaccessible, complex, and overwhelming. They wanted to make it easy.

In 2017 they launched Giki Badges, to help UK supermarket shoppers scan their baskets to check sustainability and health creds in just a few seconds. Hot on the heels of Giki Badges, in 2020, they launched Giki Zero for companies, because companies needed to activate employees behind company sustainability goals.

Working with global enterprises alongside SMEs, they noticed how hard it is for SMEs to ‘do’ sustainability. They wanted to uncomplicate it, because carbon goals aren’t just for big companies. Giki Actions launched in 2024 to help organisations build Carbon Reduction Plans that cut carbon but save time, and money, at the same time.

Giki is a B Corp and Social Enterprise. Our founding mission still sits at the heart of everything we do.
